TIME

Past, present and future influence the progress of an Organisation. Painful events from the past can be carried on by existing employees unconsciously. Leaders need to resolve any outstanding issues to maintain the loyalty of present employees and provide them with the energy needed to produce results in the future.

 

BELONGING

Everyone wants to feel part of a Team and perform at their best when there are clear boundaries between the various groups and hierarchies. Otherwise the Team suffers from stress and a lack of purpose so people leave and those remaining underperform.

 

PLACE

Everyone wants to feel valued and safe in their jobs and when this happens they will conform to the rules and goals of the Organisation. Roles and functions must be clearly defined and the hierarchy must be clearly established. A culture develops and is owned by the CEO or leader. This keeps the behaviours of the employees in line with the Corporate Goals.

 

EXCHANGE

At a simplistic level people expect a fair days work for a fair day’s pay. This enables them to give of their best, work hard and stay in the Organisation. An imbalance of giving and taking will breed resentment and ultimately employee churn.
